Knight Frank Singapore Appoints Deputy Group Managing Director and Promotes Ian Loh to Executive Director

13 May 2015

Knight Frank Singapore is pleased to announce the promotion of Ms Low Kin Hon to the position of Deputy Group Managing Director with effect from April 2015.

Kin Hon has 30 years of valuation experience in both private and statutory matters. She joined Knight Frank in 1992 as an Assistant Manager and under the mentorship of Mrs Lydia Sng, she rose up the corporate ladder to her current position as Head of Valuation Department in 2010. The department has a professional staff strength of 17 qualified and experienced valuers, and is one of the largest professional valuation teams in Singapore.

Knight Frank’s Valuation Department is well known in the industry for their competence, fairness and integrity, as well as their confidentiality in their appraisals. The department has an illustrious valuation track record and always strives to provide excellent service to their clients, who have placed their trust in them and continue to appoint them year after year.

“Under Kin Hon’s leadership, the department has been a consistent major contributor to the company’s bottom line and certainly Knight Frank’s reputation. Valuation Department has won the coveted title ‘Department of the Year’ for six consecutive years,” said Mr Danny Yeo, Group Managing Director Knight Frank Singapore.

“Kin Hon will work alongside Tiong Cheng and I to oversee the day-to-day operations of the business. She will continue to oversee the daily operations of the Valuation Department, assisted by Mr Png Poh Soon, Director for Valuation. We have every confidence that Kin Hon will succeed in her new role,” added Mr Yeo.

“I am honoured to be given this opportunity to work alongside Tiong Cheng and Danny, two veterans in the Singapore real estate industry, to take Knight Frank into the next lap. Though the current climate is challenging due to the various cooling measures introduced by the Government, I am sure we will be able to pull through with the support of my colleagues here and Knight Frank’s offices around the world as the demand for real estate moves from the local to the global arena. Just as we have done so through many challenges throughout our 75 year history in Singapore, I am confident we will continue to adapt and grow into the future,” said Ms Low Kin Hon, Deputy Group Managing Director Knight Frank Singapore.

Separately, Knight Frank Singapore is also pleased to announce the promotion of Mr Ian Loh to the position of Executive Director & Head of Investment & Capital Markets.

Ian has over 10 years of real estate experience. He joined Knight Frank Singapore’s Investment team back in 2008.

“Under Ian’s leadership, the team has been successful in closing a number of significant deals over the past couple of years. He has also been instrumental in recruiting key experienced brokers and building up Investment & Capital Markets into a formidable team with a good mix of experienced and junior brokers,” said Mr Yeo.

“Both Ian and Kin Hon are part of a group of key personnel that we have been grooming to take over Knight Frank Singapore when we eventually retire,” added Mr Yeo.
