December 01, 2022

Knight Frank Singapore is marketing the latest release of 170 new homes at The Aster at The Verdean, in Acton, West London. This comes after the release of The Oak at The Verdean in 2020, with Mount Anvil successfully selling all 160 homes within three weeks.

Emma Fletcher-Brewer, Partner, Department Head, Knight Frank Central London Commercial Agents, GB shared, “The Verdean’s initial launch in July 2020 was a record for London and a huge global success story. Its popularity was partly due to the excellent connectivity that Acton had to offer. The arrival of the Elizabeth line this year further enhances Acton’s connections to the capital’s world-class educational institutions, retail and leisure offering and cultural amenities. With Acton Main Line located less than a minute’s walk from the scheme, we are anticipating high levels of demand for this exciting new phase.”

Jointly developed by Mount Anvil and Catalyst Housing, part of the Peabody Group, The Verdean sees over 1,200 new
homes, new landscaped public and communal gardens, improved community facility, multi-use games area and a creative hub. It is only ten minutes away is the Chiswick Business Park – home to FTSE 100 companies and major corporations,
including Sony, Danone, PepsiCo, Starbucks, Disney, Mitsubishi, GSK and Sky, as well as many more. It is also closely
situated to Hammersmith, one of the best-connected districts in the capital.

Jon Hall, Group Sales Director at Mount Anvil, commented, “The name The Verdean comes from the Latin for green -
“Viridi” and it represents the lifestyle we create for our residents. Through our partnership with Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, we are going above and beyond to create vibrant green spaces. We are truly excited to bring forward this scheme with Catalyst, part of the Peabody Group – it will be an asset for the local and incoming community.”

Nicholas Keong, Head, Private Office, Knight Frank Singapore, shared, “The rental market for new build homes in West London comes from a wide range of tenants, including families, couples and professionals mainly driven by corporate
relocations and young professionals drawn in by high status roles. According to Knight Frank’s property report, property
prices in Ealing have increased by 13.2% since March 2020, higher than the 8.3% average growth seen across London over that same time. W3 is one of the remaining pockets of West London with strong investment potential at a competitive price per square foot equipped with great infrastructure, both current and new, all set within the context of Acton’s wider transformation. As such, we expect keen interest in this listing.”

At 22 storeys, The Aster a new building at the heart of The Verdean offers expansive views of the capital and direct access to the podium garden. In total, over a third of the six-acre development is landscaped green space, with a series of courtyard gardens, woodland pockets and an eco-walk, all designed in partnership with Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. There are also communal allotments, where residents will be encouraged and supported in growing fruit and vegetables for their own consumption.
