Key Highlights
- The number of auction listings increased 7.1% q-o-q to 136 (including repeat listings and excluding properties sold outside of auction), and 51.1% higher y-o-y from the 90 in Q1 2024.
- There was a quarterly rise in the overall mortgagee sale listings, perhaps due to the delayed impact of a sustained high interest rate environment throughout 2023 and much of 2024.
- Fledging buyer interest observed during the quarter might peter out as an immediate response of buyers quick to re-adopt a cautious wait-and-see posture against the roiling uncertainty of today's economic climate.
